Rules and Requirements

This contest is only open to members of the Devil Dog Studios forums.

No Purchase is neccessary

You may use any 2D/3D program to create your image; postwork is allowed.

Artwork submitted MUST be done 100% by the author of the image, no teamwork allowed.

All entries must follow the Devil Dog Studios Terms of Service. No graphic nudity or profanity will be allowed.

HERE is your chance to become PUBLISHED!!!

All entries must be received before 23:59:59 on August 31, 2009 (CST, GMT-6)

You may submit as many original images as you wish.
Images must meet the following specifications:

Must be in JPG format.

Must be 1188x1548 pixels 300 DPI. You may post a larger or wide-aspect version along with your entry, however a 1188x1548 version must be submitted.

How to Enter
To enter, reply to the forum thread with the title of your work date started and what software you will use and upload
your entry image into the contest gallery. Images will be automatically resized/recompressed by the web software, but
the original will be viewable by clicking on the resized image.

You must include the following information in the text of your entry reply:

The title of your image. (If you do not know what you are going to call it label it Username - TBD)

Software used to create your image.

The 2009 Devil DOg Studios Nightmare Contest organizers assume no responsibility for lost, misdirected, illegible or late entries or for failed computer transmissions or technical failures.

Judging

Judges are independent industry professionsal working for such studios as id Software, Janimation, Green Grass Studios, and Blizzard Entertainment. Their decisions are final.

Images are judged based on subject matter, image quality, lighting, design/composition, and technique/style.

Contest Rules
To participate in the 2009 Devil Dog Studios Nightmare Contest you must be 18 years of age or older. The contest is

open to individuals only. Groups are not allowed.
Devil Dog Studios Artists & Judges and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited.

If you are selected as a contest winner or honorable mention, you agree that the 2009 Devil DOg Studios Nightmare Contest organizers may publicize your community name and your contest entry. Apart from the prizes associated with being selected as a winner, the 2009 Devil Dog Studios Nightmare Contest organizers shall not be obligated to compensate you in any way for such publicity.

Each entrant shall indemnify, defend, and hold the 2009 Devil Dog Studios Nightmare Contest organizers harmless from any third party claims arising from or related to that entrant's
participation in the contest. In no event shall the 2009 Devil Dog Studios Nightmare Contest organizers be liable to an entrant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the
contest or that entrant's participation in the contest.

Any artwork found to violate the rules of the contest will be immediately pulled from the contest whether before, during, or after the judging process. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of entries received. All taxes, including income taxes, are the sole responsibility of winners.
No prize substitution is permitted. Winner(s) may be required to verify their entry.

Notification
The winning entries will be announced on the Devil Dog Studios forums on the tenth day of the month following the contest. Following the announcement, individual winners will be notified by email. Winners have 14 days from the date that notification is sent to claim the prize and sign publication release form.

Prize may be claimed by return e-mail.
Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. 2009 Devil DOg Studios Nightmare Contest organizers will not be liable for non-received prize notifications. 2009 Devil DOg Studios Nightmare Contest organizers are in no way responsible for full inboxes, spam filters, or other forces outside of their control that do not allow the prize notifications to be received
by the entrant.

IMPORTANT Please make sure you have a valid e-mail address accessible from your profile. Be sure that there is an

"Email" link at the bottom of your post or in your profile.
If there is not, it may be difficult to contact you if you win or if there is a problem with your entry. 2009 Devil DOg Studios Nightmare Contest organizers reserve the right to pick a new winner if an e-mail address is invalid.

Note: All images entered in the contest are copyrighted and owned by the artist. By submitting to the contest, the artist agrees to grant the 2009 Devil Dog Studios Nightmare Contest
organizers the right to print or otherwise re-publish the submitted images in various marketing, print or web materials so long as credit is given to the artist as the original creator of the image(s). No image(s) may be taken or used by any other third party without permission from the artist.
You must be logged in to submit an entry.

Devil Dog Studios reserves the right in the case not enough entries are received that Devil Dog Studios may solicit images from artists, extend the deadline, or reduce the number of winners to 12.
